✧Day one✧
Dear diary,
I have never had a diary before, but I found this one in a train station store and I just had to have it, so forgive me if I ramble..
Today was an exciting day! It was the start of our holiday! Sis and I woke up early and packed our bags with enough snacks for the trip and our fave teddies and off we went! The station was busy with boring adults doing boring adult things so we found a comfy corner to enjoy our pre trip snacks. Sis made her famous PB&Js (seriously, they are sooo good!) and we waited for our train to board.

A nice lady showed us to our seats and left us more yummy snacks (of course, duh) and left us to relax and enjoy the train ride. It was starting to get dark outside and we noticed some strange colours in the sky. It was pretty tho! But with our full tummies and the clacking of the train, we were soon asleep and forgot all about the strange lights..

We woke up to the sounds of the train pulling in at our destination.. Well, I woke up to sissys stinky feet in my face as she was climbing over me, making sure she grabbed the last of the snacks.. But anyways.. It was still dark outside when we got off the train, im not sure how long we slept for but It looked like it could almost be morning. There was a strange light coming from the train tunnel behind us.. But tbh, we assumed it was someone having a rave in another carriage so sis busted out a move to join in! She calls this the "swing from the chandelier".. I call it the "get down before we are kicked out"..

I was less convinced there was some kind of rave when we turned and were greeted by a tall lady who had WINGS! I am not even joking, she had the biggest (and only) wings I had ever seen on a lady! Even less again when she bent down and told us we had somehow been transported to a magical land! Sis and I whispered between ourselves for a second and decided that we would stay, after all, who could pass up the chance of trying some magical snacks! We followed the nice flying lady out of the station and through the streets. The sun was starting to come up as we walked and she explained that this sometimes happens and that they had made a beautiful area to house stray humans for as long as they would like to stay. She showed us to our home for the weekend and then left us to explore.

We pulled our bags up the ramp and on to our boat, dumping them at the door as we skipped inside to look around. Everything felt soo cozy here and spotting the bunk beds, we decided to take a nap after our long trip.. The sun coming through the windows and the stink of sissys sleep farts finally woke me up, she can realllly clear a room when she wants to! I stretched out my arms and let out a huge yawn, grabbed my pillow and swung it at sissys head. When she hed recovered from her rude wakeup call, we decided it was time to go and explore and find some lunch! We had noticed a beach across the way, while we were getting dressed. So we decided we would head there and see if we could find some food!

As we got closer I saw just how pretty the beach was. There were colourful beach huts lined up and a row of cute little shops. I made a note to check these out later and see what treasures we could find! Sis had packed us a beach bag (she really is the best at remembering the important stuff), she pulled it across the sand and started setting up our chairs while I crossed the road and went to the fish and chip van that was set up over there. I ordered two of the biggest portions they had and skipped back across to the beach.
The food here was amazing! I thought the train snacks had been good, but these chips were from another world! (maybe literally??) I had grabbed up a fist full and turned to show sis as I stuffed them into my mouth, my hand stopping just before the chips reached my lips.. There was a seagull sat on sissys head! The biggest one I had ever seen! And more were circling the air above us! I jumped up and dropped the handful of chips onto the sand and ohhhh boy! This made the gulls go wild! There was a whole gang of them now and I grabbed my beach spade to fight them off!

After the dust had settled (aka, I gave up the fight and let the gulls fly off with our chips) we looked around at the mess and realised that my favourite doll had been broken in the struggle. I threw my head back and let out a sad cry, dropping to my knees in the sand (yes yes, I am a little dramatic but its oki). I reached out and picked up her head, which had popped of her body, and looked at sis with tears in my eyes. How would we ever fix this?? Sis ran over and hugged me tightly, wiping my tears she told me that she has seen one of the stores behind the beach was called "Geppetto's". She remembered this name from one of our books and told me it was a magical man that can fix toys maybe! This made me a little hopeful so we cleaned up our mess (well, sis did.. I sat on the sand and cried) and hurried across the street to see if we could find help.

We half ran, half fell through the shop door, much to the surprise of the man behind the counter. Out of breath from the run there, sis called out "we have an emergency!" He looked confused until I held up my hands, the broken doll cradled there for him to see. Sniffling, I asked if he could help. He scooped me up and sat me on the counter while sis looked on. He took a good look at my dolly and told us he worked more with wood, but he could make an exception for us. He wrapped her up softly, so she wouldnt get cold and he wandered off to look for his tools.

It turned out that fixing a doll wasnt as hard as I thought. Within a few seconds, Mr Geppetto had her head back on and she looked as good as new! He gave sis and I some candy as we were leaving and we skipped off, with smiles, to find more mischief.
It didnt take long, of course. Just a hop and a skip around the corner we found an arcade filled with fun games and bright lights. Perfect to entertain sugar hyped kids!

We made our way inside and noticed the crane machine right away! Sis grinned at me and headed over to it, already pulling out her purse to try and win a prize. We stood on tippy toes and tried our best to aim for the lobster but he kept falling out of the claw. With a huff, sis looked at the door of the machine and said "time to speed things up!" She crawled inside while I kept a look out, her legs half hanging out still as she reached up and grabbed the lobster claw and pulled hard. I grabbed her legs and gave a tug, sending us both backwards onto the floor. Giggling wildly, we grabbed up the lobster, dropped some coins on the counter and skipped out into the evening air.
The sun was getting low in the sky and the day had been long. Yawning as we walked, we decided that we would take in some more of the scenery before heading back to our boat for dinner.
This place was truly magical and the sun going down only made it more so. The trees seemed to sparkle and glow in some places, hidden beaches, a swimming hole, playgrounds and crazy golf (which I am amazing at btw)! Boats and pretty rivers stretching as far as the eye could see.

Finally we made it back to our boat, sleepy and ready to climb into bed. Sis made us some veggie snacks and we got into our PJs ready for story time. Worn out from the adventures of the day, it wasnt long before we drifted off to the sounds of the waves lapping at the boat.

✧Day two✧
Good morning, diary! It is day two of our holiday here at Glan Mor and the day got off to a great start! Sis woke me up right as the sun was rising, or should I say, the shoe she threw at my head woke me up! She yelled at me to move my butt and eat something so we could go and explore more already! As we were leaving the boat, we noticed a note pinned to our door. I took it down and passed it over to sis, she had always been better at reading then me, she looked it over and read aloud "Meet me at the bridge across from the market, at 10am. Bring carrots! Love, Miss Fleur" Sis pondered for a moment.. "who is Miss Fleur, and why do we need carrots??" I rummaged around in the kitchen and sure enough, there was a basket filled with many fresh fruits and veggies. I grabbed some carrots and sissy hand and ran out the door to find the bridge.

We ran through the town and got to the right bridge finally (I wont tell you how many wrong bridges we went to first..) We turned the corner and well, we knew what the carrots were for right away! Miss Fleur was stood there with two of the cutest horses we had ever seen! One even looked like a bumble bee! We ran over and took out our treats, offering them up to the horses with giggles. Then we turned to meet Miss Fleur. She knelt down and offered us both a hug and then popped a riding hat on each of our heads, telling us that she was a resident here and she would like to show us her favorite places. She helped us both up on to our horses and off we went.
We took in the amazing views as the horses led us through the town, past the pet cafe and another playground with a huge tree house. Miss Fleur told us that this is where the local children liked to hang out. Looking up at it, we agreed that it was quite high and maybe we should admire it from the ground for now.. I was inclined to agree, I wasnt known for having the best balance!

We followed the road around a bend and a path appeared ahead of us, out of the bushes. The horses moved forward, up the hill and through the trees. Now we were going to the camp grounds. Miss Fleur talked as we rode, telling us that this was like a home away from home for residents that wanted to get away and enjoy a night under the stars. The views were amazing and it felt soo cozy that sis and I decided we would like to spend the night here tonight. This seemed to make Miss Fleur happy and she promised to have some snacks sent up for our camp out.

We started to make our way back down the hill, it was almost afternoon and I could hear my tummy rumbling over the sounds of the river beside us! Miss Fleur noticed and let out a giggle "Its a good job I have one last place to show you" She chuckled as we turned a corner and called out "Ta da! Welcome to Sconehenge! This is the best tearoom you will ever visit!" Our eyes widened and we looked at each other with grins! "Scone" and "tearoom" were some of our favorite words!
We jumped down from our horses, gave them one more carrot as a thank you for the ride, and made our way to the steps. "Race you!" Yelled Miss Fleur, as she took off ahead of us "hurry before all the cake is gone!"

As we got to the top of the stairs I turned to grin at sis. In front of us was a group of locals, some looked human and some looked altogether magical. All of them had big smiles and when they saw sis they cheered and yelled "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" I giggled and yelled too as sissys face turned red. One of the ladies ushered us over to where they had set out the most beautiful feast we had ever seen. "My name is Truly and I am the mother of Hollybrook" She said with a smile "You are most welcome here and we are soo happy to celebrate your birthday with you" She gave sis a little squeeze and showed us to our seats.

The food was amazing! Cakes of all kinds and our favorite sandwiches. With strawberry lemonade to drink. We settled into our seats, taking it all in. I leaned over to grab a slice of cake, passing one to sis at the same time "happy birthday, butt face" I said with a grin..
We ate and played games, getting to know our new friends and listening to their stories about living in this magical place. Each one more fantastical than the last. Before we knew it, the sky was turning a deep pink as the sun sunk lower. Sis let out a huge yawn and we said our thanks and goodbyes and we set out to find our way back to the tent for our night under the stars.
We retraced our steps back along the path towards the woods, giggling and recounting the afternoon. Sis said she had never seen a cake soo big and I had to agree! Our tummies were soo full and my eyes were starting to feel heavy... I swear we were going the right way... Blinking, I looked up and the path had got darker.. I looked around and down at sis "we must have taken a wrong turn? Do you see that light up ahead?" There was a faint glow in the trees in front of us so we held each others hand and walked towards it...

We stumbled into the light, walking forward as it got brighter and brighter. And then... We walked out in to a wide open cave, mushrooms and glowing plants filled it from every angle. The light casting rainbows off the water that flowed down through the wall. We looked at each other, our mouths open in shock and awe at the beauty before us. We took a few steps forward to get a better look, gasping at the space that seemed to go on forever.

We noticed a big table with large important looking chairs around it. I looked down at sis and squeezed her hand, whispering "I dont think we are supposed to be here.." She nodded and we started walking backwards towards the light we had come from. "ARRRRRGHHHHHHHH" Sis and I let out the loudest scream you have ever heard! Hands had reached from the light, taking both our shoulders at the same time! I whipped my head around and let out a relieved sigh, it was just Miss Fleur. "We were walking to the camp and I dont know what happened.. We.. Got lost.."
Miss Fleur let out a laugh and scooped us both up as I babbled away "We didnt mean to go in there.. We were sleepy and full and just got turned around" She booped our noses in turn and said happily "dont worry little ones. We do welcome visitors to our caves, but on the condition that you can find them on your own" She squeezed us tight and walked back out to the road "maybe you both have some magic inside you if you found them soo quickly"

Miss Fleur carried us the rest of the way to the tent, as we got into our pjs she set some hot cocoa on the fire to warm. She tucked us tightly into our sleeping bags and we snuggled beside the fire. "I'll take my cocoa to go" She said, as she poured us each a cup "I have to finish up some work before bed". We watched her skip back down the hill and then settled in for the night. Worn out from the days adventures and to tired to even have story time, we laid back and drifted off under the stars.
✧Day three✧
Tho this was our last day, Diary, it was a great one! We woke up to the smell of bacon! Our favorite breakfast in the whole world! As we stuffed our faces we talked about the day ahead. We had noticed a spa on our tour with Miss Fleur. She had explained that it had a bath, but the bath was full of mud! What could be more magical?! Sis and I decided that this was the only baths we ever wanted to take from now on! We quickly cleaned up the campsite and skipped down the hill to find this wondrous place..
"Nautilussss Nirvanaaaa" Sis read the name hanging over the door, drawing out the words with a giggle "that sounds funny to say".. "I remember that name" I said, tapping my chin trying to remember what it meant.. "I KNOOOOW" sis yelled "Its that curly fossil they showed us in school!" We pushed through the door and looked around, trying to find the bath of mud. Soft music filled the air as we walked room from room, finding a nail bar and a bath outside, but that one was just filled with boring water.. "Maybe Miss Fleur was teasing us" I said as we walked through the last door. But no! There it was! Sis let out a gasp and ran across the room with wide eyes.. "Its sooo pretty" We pulled of our clothes (sis had the great idea of wearing our swimming costumes underneath) and jumped in.

Diary, this was the BEST bath we had ever had! Sis was splashing about, sending mud sloshing over the edges of the tub "this is soo much better than jumping around in muddy puddles" I had to agree! As her back was turned, I scooped up a glob of the mud and tried to squeeze it like a snowball. With a grin I turned with my arm lifted, ready to throw the mud ball at sis, and stopped in my tracks.. The tall lady with the biiig fary wings was stood just inside the doorway, laughing softly at us.
Miss Lunie walked to a counter across the room and started to make smoothies, talking as she picked out our favorite fruits.. "You know, that mud has special properties.. You can put it on your face like a mask" I squealed and pressed the ball of mud, I was still holding onto, into sissys face.. "like this?" I called out with a chuckle. Sis screeched and launched herself at me! "NO! Like this" she pushed my head under the mud, laughing wildly before falling back and half floating there holding on to her tummy. Miss Lunie shook her head and smiled as she handed us our smoothies. "I will let you girls relax here for a bit, I look forward to seeing you for dinner this evening"...

We finished up our smoothies and showered off before heading back to our boat to get ready for dinner. Sis, being the brain of the two of us, had remembered to pack our fancy dresses! We dressed quickly, excited to eat more of the wonderful food here! Sis helped me curl my hair just the way I liked it, we put on our hats and headed off..
The restaurant was called "La Femme Du Triton" and that means "The Mermans Wife" I totally knew that because im clever.. Not because it was on the sign on the way in.. I swear! Miss Lunie and Miss Fleur were waiting by the door for us and with big smiles the welcomed us in and showed us to our seats.

The restaurant was beautiful! Moss grew on the walls and twinkled in the candle light as we walked by. We saw chefs, busy behind a glass screen and a winding stair case that led up to our table. Wonderful smells filled the air and I squeezed sissys hand as we climbed the stairs, barely keeping in my excitement.

Miss Lunie set some drinks on the table along with a basket of homemade rolls and the menus. "I will give you a few minutes to decide what you want" She drifted back down the stairs and I turned to sis.. "Do you think they will let us have one of everything??" She chuckled "You can try"..
I turned my attention to the basket of rolls, picking them up one by one and sniffing each one with curiosity. Taking a huge bite out of one that smelled sweet, I opened my mouth and chewed loudly. Poking my tongue out at sis I said "look, seefood dinner" .. She stifled a giggle and hissed "sis, quit ittt. This is a fancy place!" Coughing a little, I swallowed the bread and turned to look at the menu. "Fineeeee" I said with a whine, sitting up straighter, because she was right after all..

I picked up the menu and burst out laughing again "Look at the names sis" She looked down and let out a snort "that is perfect except I have never heard you say im not hungry, not in your whole life!" I flicked a chunk of bread across the table at her "theres a first time for everything!" Miss Lunie suddenly appeared beside us, she had a little note pad this time and asked "have you had enough time to decide, girls?" We bounced in our chairs, nodding and calling out our orders. Sis went first.. "Can I have the "I dont care" with the "I wanna go to KFC" and the raspberry blancmange to finish please" Mis Lunie scribbled on her little pad and then turned to me.. "I will have the "Im not hungry" and the same as sis for the rest please!" Sis always was the best at picking food so I usually copied her order! She marked the pad and turned to float back down the stairs. I reached for the basket again.. "Maybe just one more roll while we wait"...

Dinner was out of this world! The cheese toastie was perfect and the dino nuggies were the best we ever had! We sat back at the same time, rubbing our tummies and sighing contentedly. "Im soo full! But I saved a little corner for my desert" I said to sis, she started to reply but a loud clatter from the stairs stopped her in her tracks. We peeked over the rail and looked down to see Miss Fleur at the bottom of the stairs. She was walking backwards, pulling the biggest cart of cakes and treats we had ever seen!
She had managed to pull the cart up two of the steps and was now stopped. She reached up to wipe her brow and we could see Miss Lunie watching her from across the room. Miss Fleur spotted us watching and waved with a big grin, causing her to lose her balance! Her leg kicked out from under her and the dishes of cake went flying into the air, this way and that! Sis and I gasped in perfect timing, Miss Lunie had snapped her fingers and everything started to float in the air. We watched, wide eyed, as the cart lifted off the floor, all of the dishes slowly fell back into place and the whole thing floated up the stairs and drifted softly to the floor in front of us!
Miss Fleur yelled "Thank you Lunie!" and softer, under her breath "again".. Apparently this wasnt the first time Miss Fleur had made this mistake and needed to be saved. She skipped breathlessly up the stairs and came to a stop next to the table.. "Ta daaaa!" she said with a loud belly laugh.. "desert is served!"...
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Our time was almost done at Glan Mor, sis and I decided to take the long way back to the boat and enjoy one more look at the true beauty of this strange and wonderful otherworld. We whispered back and forth as we walked, agreeing that we had found a strange sense of belonging being here. Everyone was soo friendly and there was a feeling of peace and warmth wherever we had gone.
As we walked through the town towards the boat, sis looked up and stopped. She tugged on my arm, pulling my attention from the view across the water, I looked up following her gaze.. We were stood in front of the rental office. There was a town across the shore from Glan Mor, called Hollybrook. Miss Fleur had mentioned it but we had not been paying much attention at the time (dont blame us! There were snacks everywhere and we were distracted!). I peeked in the window and sis walked inside. "OMG there are farms! With cute baby cows!" She yelled out from inside. I ran in and looked at the listings....

Sis was right! There were cute little farm houses with soo many sweet animals. We had always wanted to have a little farm of our own. I giggled and shook my head "you really think we can do it sis? It means we would have to clean up poop"... Sis looked at me with a grin "Yeees, but people pay good money for that poop! And money buys candy".. Just then a lady walked out from the office at the back of the building. She looked over at us with a warm smile and called out "I can give you a tour, if you like?"
Dear diary.. Maybe our adventure here isnt over after all!
